What is Human Application Testing?
It is the application of materials and products to the human body through tests to verify their safety, efficacy, and functionality.

Prior to human application, the product is tested in vitro to evaluate its safety and efficacy. Scientific protocols are then developed to verify that the product has the same safety and efficacy levels when applied to humans.

If the Clinical Trial Screening Committee requires IRB approval, human application testing always begins after completion of the approval process.
